Basically Tinder but for fashion!
I was actually served their ad via Instagram and I thought it looked interesting, so downloaded on my phone for a closer look. And I think the idea is great!
On the discover tab you are faced with an image of a fashion item, whether it be a dress, pair of shoes, a top, a piece of jewellery or a handbag – it has is it all, then it’s a case of swiping to the left if you don’t like it or swipe to the right if you do. You can also click onto the item to find out more and view more images of the item.
With all the items you swipe to the right, they are saved in your ‘My Want List’. Everything that you liked is collated for you in one place which you can categorize by different items – shoes, accessories, bags, dresses, etc. There is also a sale section, so can instantly see at a glance if there is anything on your Want List that’s on sale!
I think this is a great idea, although the only downside I would say is the amount of brands they have currently on the app. Apart from the odd brand, there are quite a lot of high-end brands such as – Kate Spade, DKNY, Jimmy Choo and Balenciaga to name a few which are out of my price range but it’s a really nice way to gain some inspiration. Hopefully the more popular the app gets, we might start seeing a few more high-street brands on there but for the moment I will still keep swiping away to gain some fashion inspiration.
Have you tried the Want List app yet? What do you think?
